Privacy notice
Short version: this site collects nothing about you unless you send the booking form, and what you send is used only to answer you.
What we collect, and why
The only personal information this site collects is what you type into the booking request form: your name, email address, travel dates, guest count, and any message you add. It is used for exactly one purpose: answering your booking request. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to any mailing list.
Where your details go
When you press Request to book, your form details are delivered by Web3Forms, a form delivery service, straight to the owners' email inbox. Nothing else touches them. This website has no database and keeps no copy of your submission. The conversation continues by email or WhatsApp from there.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. Every asset on it, including the typefaces, is served from our own hosting, so your browser talks to no third party while browsing. The only technical footprint: our hosting provider, Vercel, serves the pages and keeps standard server logs, and the availability calendar reads booked dates from our own server. None of this involves a cookie, an identifier we control, or any profile of you.
Your rights
Under Costa Rica's data protection law (Ley 8968), you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Since the only place your details live is the owners' inbox, this is usually as simple as deleting an email thread. Write to the owners or message +1 937 369 4276 and it will be handled.
Who is responsible
Tropical Waves 5 is owned and operated by its owners, Corey Myers, Sibu Janardhanan, and Bryan Banks, through their Costa Rican entity, Las Palmas, Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Questions about this notice go to the same contacts as everything else on this site.
Last updated August 2026. If how the site works changes, this page changes with it.
That is the whole policy
No surprises is the point.
